Rob Diaz, the founder of Rob Diaz Design, has a passion for creating spaces that are as functional as they are beautiful. His approach to design is deeply rooted in the relationship between the exterior and interior of a space, ensuring that every room not only stands alone but also contributes to the overall flow and feel of the home.
When asked about his favorite part of the design process, Diaz said, "There are many. But forming a shape, a sight line, and understanding how the spaces work together is something I’m always mindful of. The cohesive nature of the exterior working with the interior is crucial. Figuring out how a room or rooms have identity and nest you in is what I love most."
This thoughtful approach is evident in every project he undertakes. For Diaz, the choice between Roman Shades and Drapery depends on the specific needs of the space. "It depends on whether it’s a door or a window," he explains. "Doors are always drapes for me. If added layers are needed, then Romans and drapes." This practical yet aesthetic approach ensures that every element of the design serves a purpose while enhancing the overall look of the home.
The partnership between Rob Diaz and Jessica Nicastro began organically. They first worked together on a home in Silverlake, where Nicastro was hired to furnish a house that Diaz had built. Their mutual admiration for each other's work led to a strong professional relationship. "We kept in touch and always shared a design likeness for each other," Diaz recalls. "When Viewcrest was being developed, I wanted a talented team to help highlight and elevate my design with custom furniture and scale it correctly. Jessica is incredibly talented, and I feel she knocked it out of the park with Casa Mallorca."
This collaboration was more than just a business arrangement—it was a meeting of minds. Diaz’s architectural vision combined with Nicastro’s interior design expertise resulted in a home that is both functional and breathtakingly beautiful.
Jessica Nicastro is known for her ability to create spaces that enhance everyday living. Her design style is centered around the idea that a home should be as practical as it is beautiful. "I create spaces that are not only functional but also captivating," she explains. "Seamlessly blending form and function ensures that both beauty and practicality are achieved."
Nicastro has a particular appreciation for window treatments and their transformative power. "My favorite thing about window treatments is their ability to dramatically transform a space," she says. In the Casa Mallorca project, Nicastro found that the easiest design decision was selecting the color palette. The home’s architectural features, combined with Studio Rob Diaz's organic palette, made the choice straightforward. "The easiest design decision for this project was selecting the color palette, which beautifully complemented the home’s architectural features," Nicastro notes. However, the abundance of design possibilities also made it challenging. "The hardest part was narrowing down our options, as the wide range of design possibilities made it difficult to select only the very best elements for the space."

Before Rhode took over the location, it was characterized by concrete, dark woods, and black metal accents. With the expertise of Erik Garcia of Maison Trouvaille, the office underwent a complete overhaul, incorporating androgynous features, repurposed furniture, and warm aesthetics.
Erick Garcia of Maison Trouvaille recognized the importance of incorporating high-quality drapery to achieve the desired ambiance and successfully curated a space that not only reflects Rhode's brand identity but also encourages creativity and tranquility among its team members.
Furniture: A significant portion of the furniture was upcycled, including desks, tables, and kitchen cabinets, giving new life to existing pieces. Desks and cabinetry were meticulously finished with high-gloss and matte paints, along with opaque acrylic materials.
Walls: Lime-washed walls were introduced to create textural contrast and enhance the monochromatic aesthetic, inspired by Rhode's own packaging finish.
Smoked Bronze Mirror: The mirror's color palette draws inspiration from Rhode's Peptide Lip Tint in Espresso, adding a touch of continuity and branding to the office design.
Rhode Products: Rhode's products were intentionally showcased throughout the office, with a particular emphasis on new releases to keep the display dynamic and ever-evolving.
Drapery: Sheer drapery adds texture and softness providing more control over the amount of light and privacy desired.

When asked about her design style, Molly's answer is as lively as her creations, “One-of-a-kind, eclectic-yet-curated.” It's a style that's uniquely hers – a delightful fusion of unexpected elements and carefully selected pieces that come together to form spaces that are as vibrant as they are inviting.
For Molly, inspiration springs from the boundless world of color. "The biggest inspiration was color!" she says. "I wanted to create a creative, energized space that felt unique to me and my husband – cool, beautiful, welcoming, and warm." It's a testament to Molly's fearless approach to design, where color isn't just a decorative element but a vibrant expression of personality and joy.
What makes a space truly special to Molly? It's all about infusing it with personality and warmth. "The biggest compliment I can receive is when someone enters a space and says, 'it feels like you,'" she shares. It's this sense of authenticity and individuality that sets Molly's designs apart, creating spaces that are as welcoming as they are beautiful.
Molly draws inspiration from a variety of sources – from her travels to nature and everything in between. "I've been drawn to the Australian design scene for a while," she reveals. "The Design Files and all of the incredible designers featured in it will forever be a source of inspiration for me." It's this eclectic mix of influences that infuses Molly's designs with a sense of energy and vitality.
Molly's journey with Everhem began like many modern-day connections – through Instagram. "And then I met Haley in person," Molly recalls, "and she was incredibly lovely and brought a whole pretty swatch set to our coffee date." Thus began a collaboration that would transform Molly's home into a showcase of timeless elegance and sophistication.
Working with Everhem was a seamless experience for Molly, a rarity in the world of interior design and, especially, window treatments. "It was seamless, which as an interior designer dealing with many different trades, contractors, clients, and personalities, is extremely rare," she reflects. Special praise goes to Nina, whose meticulous attention to detail made the process a breeze. For Molly, the choice of window treatments was essential to achieving the desired ambiance in her home. "I wanted window treatments that felt soft, airy, and light," she explains. Our design firm, Hearth Homes Interiors, is located in sunny Santa Barbara, CA, nestled between the mountains and the sea.
Where Olivia tends to lean a little neutral, Katie tends to lean a little colorful. We love the juxtaposition of modern meeting traditional, old meeting new, and earthy meets geometric. Everyday life is about finding a balance and we love to help our client’s find the perfect design balance within theirs. And, all of this tends to be wrapped up in a slightly casual bow with inspiration pulled from our home on the West coast.

We love to pull inspiration from the architecture of the homes we renovate and style. Each house has a history and we love to pull those elements as a foundation of a project’s aesthetic. When a space is lacking a little history, we like to pull from our client’s family history and meld together different design elements to create a unique story.
I believe we found you on social media! We sourced our samples for another project back in 2022-2023 and when it came time to source window coverings for this project, we knew this would be the perfect collaboration - we headed straight down the yellow brick road to you all!
