Follow along our Inside Look of Kelli Lamb's Spanish revival home for Rue Magazine!
Kelli's main goal was to modernize her space in a way that brought out her personal style and stayed true to the original home. After updating the flooring she decided to tackle window treatments with Everhem's help!
She said goodbye to paper blinds and old sheets on her windows and decided she needed window treatments with a custom fit.
"Like all of the elements in our home, we wanted to choose something that would have longevity versus a quick fix, so we worked withto create window treatments that were tailor-made for our windows"
-Kelli Lamb
In her living room, Kelli chose a Drapery and Woven Woods combination that offered her both privacy and a high-end feel. She chose Drapery in Bone and Woven Woods in Chestnut to accent the natural hardwood flooring. Her husband, Tim, loved the way it reminded him of a beautiful hotel!
In the bedroom she went with Blackout Roman Shades in Birch. Kelli wanted Blackout Lining to make sure she could always have a great night's sleep!
Kelli used Everhem as her finishing touches to make her office space her own. She went with Drapery and a Roman Shade in Rose to add a colorful hue that "dresses" up the room.
Kelli wanted her Drapery to provide an architectural element to her space but didn't want to give up natural light. In addition to Drapery in Rose, she chose our Sheers in Moon as a way to have privacy from neighbors and let in filtered sunlight all at once!
We are thrilled to be a part of this charming Spanish revival home. Read more on how Kelli created her forever home. Thank you for following along our Inside Look! See you next time...
When it comes to home decor, few things are as transformative as the combination of paint colors and window treatments. The right pairing can create a harmonious, stylish, and inviting space that reflects your personality and design preferences. Read on for tips and tricks on the art of selecting paint colors that beautifully complement Everhem's Essentials Collection fabrics, including Moon, Bone, Pebble, Sand, Birch, Fawn, Ash, Storm, and Rose. Let's discover how these fabric-color combinations can elevate your home decor.
When choosing paint colors to complement your Everhem fabric, think about creating a harmonious color palette. This means selecting colors that are adjacent to each other on the color wheel. For instance, if you have Everhem's Pebble drapery, which has warm gray undertones, consider pairing it with a paint color in the same family, like a light taupe or soft mushroom. This creates a sense of cohesion and balance in your space, making it visually pleasing and inviting.
Understanding color temperature is key to achieving the right ambiance. Cool tones, such as blues and grays, have a calming effect, while warm tones, like reds and yellows, create a cozy atmosphere. To maintain harmony, ensure that your paint color's temperature aligns with your Everhem fabric. For example, if your drapery is the cool and airy Moon shade, opt for a paint color with similar cool undertones. This pairing will create a seamless transition from your walls to your window treatments, enhancing the overall aesthetic.
Keep in mind that the colors in your room, including furniture, flooring, and decor, can influence how a paint color appears. The same paint color may appear slightly different in various rooms due to lighting and surroundings. Therefore, it's crucial to test paint samples in the specific room where you plan to use them, and observe how they interact with your Everhem fabric. This ensures that the color context enhances the beauty and cohesion of your space.
To create a sense of unity and flow in your home decor, consider matching the color tone of your paint with your Everhem window treatments. If your chosen paint color is a warm tone, like a creamy beige or soft terracotta, opt for Everhem fabrics that share those warm undertones, such as Bone, Sand, or Fawn. Similarly, if your paint color is a cool tone, like a tranquil blue or cool gray, select Everhem fabrics with matching cool undertones, like Moon or Pebble. This consistency in tone ensures that your paint and window treatments complement each other seamlessly, resulting in a harmonious and polished interior design.
Remember, the key to successful pairings is balance and personal preference. While these tips provide a helpful starting point, don't be afraid to experiment and trust your instincts. Your home is a reflection of your unique style, and the combination of paint colors and Everhem fabrics should ultimately make you feel comfortable, happy, and at ease in your space. By considering color harmony, temperature, context, and tone, you'll be well on your way to creating a stunning and cohesive interior that you'll love to call home.
Everhem's Moon fabric, a soft and versatile shade of white, pairs wonderfully with serene blues. Consider painting your walls in a gentle sky blue or a tranquil aqua to create a peaceful and airy ambiance. Moon's neutral elegance enhances the calming effect of these blues, making it perfect for bedrooms, bathrooms, or any room where relaxation is key.
Bone, with its warm undertones, harmonizes beautifully with earthy greens. Think mossy greens, sage, or olive tones on your walls. This combination creates a grounded and nature-inspired look that's ideal for living rooms and dining areas. It brings a touch of the outdoors inside, making your space feel fresh and rejuvenating.
Pebble, a gentle and neutral taupe, pairs effortlessly with soft grays for an elegant monochromatic look. Consider painting your walls a shade darker or lighter than Pebble for a layered effect. This combination works well in bedrooms and home offices, where you want to create a sophisticated yet calming atmosphere.
Sand's warm and inviting tone complements other warm neutrals like beige or caramel. These colors on your walls create a cozy and welcoming environment, perfect for family rooms or kitchens. Sand and warm neutrals add depth and richness to your space, making it feel like a comforting retreat.
Birch, with its cool and crisp demeanor, pairs seamlessly with cool neutrals like light gray or icy blue. Painting your walls in these shades enhances the modern and clean aesthetic that Birch embodies. This combination is excellent for contemporary living spaces and home offices where simplicity and sophistication are key.
Ash, with its cool undertones, pairs elegantly with muted pastels like soft lavender, blush pink, or misty blue. These gentle hues on your walls create a dreamy and romantic ambiance, making it an excellent choice for bedrooms and nurseries. Ash and muted pastels evoke a sense of serenity and charm.
Storm, a deep and dramatic gray, is the ideal backdrop for bold accent walls. Consider painting one wall in a striking color like deep navy, emerald green, or fiery red. This combination adds a sense of drama and personality to your space, making it perfect for eclectic and artistic areas like playrooms or home offices.
Rose's delicate and sophisticated charm pairs gracefully with soft whites on your walls. This combination creates a timeless and elegant look that's perfect for dining rooms and formal living areas. Rose and soft whites bring a touch of refinement and grace to your space.
Remember that natural light, room size, and personal preferences play a significant role in how paint colors and fabric combinations will appear in your home. It's essential to test samples in your space and observe them at different times of the day to ensure they meet your expectations.
The synergy between paint colors and Everhem's Essentials Collection fabrics offers endless possibilities to elevate your home decor. Whether you prefer serene and tranquil vibes or bold and dramatic statements, there's a perfect combination waiting to transform your space into a reflection of your unique style and taste. The holiday season is a time of celebration, joy, and transformation. It's when we come together with loved ones, exchange gifts, and decorate our homes with festive cheer. If you're looking to elevate your holiday decor this year, Everhem's custom window treatments can be your secret weapon for creating a magical and inviting atmosphere. We rounded up creative ideas to inspire your holiday decorating with Everhem, from elegant drapery to charming Roman Shades and rustic Woven Woods.
Let's start with the foundation of your holiday decor - the windows. Everhem's Drapery is like the canvas upon which you can paint your holiday magic. Consider choosing drapery in rich colors, like our Essentials collection in Fawn or Storm . These hues create a sense of warmth and elegance that's perfect for the season. Hang your drapery high, closer to the ceiling, to visually elongate the room and make it feel grand. This also allows for more space to showcase your festive decor.
Imagine stringing twinkling fairy lights across your drapery, or draping lush garlands adorned with ornaments over it. You can even feature a lush wreath as a centerpiece for your window, framed beautifully by the drapery. The result is a breathtaking focal point that welcomes guests and sets the tone for a festive celebration.
Roman Shades from Everhem offer a classic and timeless elegance that pairs seamlessly with holiday decor. To infuse your windows with a festive spirit, consider selecting Roman Shades our Stripes and Trim Collection for a mixture of textiles and patterns to create an aesthetic depth. These shades will not only enhance the beauty of your windows but also create a harmonious backdrop for your holiday festivities.
For an added touch of charm, think about selecting Pleated Roman Shades. This traditional style allows you to add even more character to your windows to suit your holiday theme. Layering Roman Shades with Everhem’s custom drapery can also bring depth and character to your windows. The result is a warm and inviting space where your guests will feel the holiday spirit.
If your holiday decorating style leans towards organic and earthy inspiration, Everhem's Woven Woods are an excellent choice. Their natural textures and unique tones create a warm and welcoming ambiance that's perfect for the season. Woven Woods exude a sense of coziness that complements the holidays perfectly.
Consider decorating your Woven Woods with wooden ornaments, and plenty of fresh greenery. You can also drape a garland of pinecones or evergreen branches over your Woven Woods to complete the rustic holiday aesthetic. This combination of natural elements and warm, earthy tones will make your space feel like a charming winter retreat.
If you're aiming for an ethereal and magical holiday atmosphere, Everhem's Sheers can help you achieve that dreamy look. Sheer curtains allow soft, filtered light to enter your space, creating a mesmerizing and enchanting atmosphere. Picture your room bathed in a gentle, diffused glow that evokes the feeling of a winter wonderland.
To enhance the enchantment, consider decorating your Sheers with delicate lights. These can be woven through the curtains, creating a captivating, starry effect that's perfect for holiday evenings. Choose sheer curtains in shades like moon or pebble to evoke the serene and magical beauty of winter. With Sheers, you can transform your space into a place of enchantment, perfect for hosting holiday gatherings or enjoying quiet moments of reflection.
One of the great advantages of Everhem's window treatments is their versatility. Don't be afraid to mix and match different types of window treatments to create a unique and captivating look for your holiday decor. Combining Sheers with Roman Shades, Drapery, or Woven Woods can add depth and dimension to your space.
Experiment with different colors, patterns, and textures to find the perfect combination that resonates with your holiday vision. For example, you might use Sheers for their magical ambiance in your living room, while opting for richly colored Roman Shades in your dining area. This mix of styles can make each room feel distinct and catered to its specific purpose during the holiday season.

Welcome to an inside look at Lauren's stunning Nashville home. Lauren, a seasoned interior design enthusiast, sought out Haley Weidenbaum, our founder and interior designer behind Everhem, to help bring her window treatment goals to life.
With a penchant for mixing styles, Lauren's house blends traditional and modern elements with a hint of California-inspired flair. A neutral palette of warm browns and earthy hues anchors the space, while her unique art and vintage rugs provide pops of personality. Throughout, Everhem's custom window treatments tie the rooms together, adding both style and functionality.
Lauren's connection with Haley began when RoomSecret designed her primary bedroom, incorporating Everhem's drapes and shades. Impressed by the transformation, Lauren and her husband wanted to bring Everhem's designs to the rest of their home. "Our window treatments have truly made our house feel like a home. They’ve brought so much character and warmth into our space."
Lauren's vision for her home was driven by a desire to evoke feelings of comfort and authenticity. "I wanted our home to feel like a home," Lauren says, "to be light and contemporary but also emulate vintage themes and lived-in character." She also emphasized the importance of functionality for their young family. With a focus on open-concept and comfortable living areas, Lauren created spaces that accommodate their lifestyle without compromising aesthetics.
Haley Weidenbaum, the co-founder and CEO of Everhem, draws inspiration from the natural beauty of sunlight. For Lauren's home, Haley chose sheer window treatments to maximize the amount of sunlight flooding into the rooms while still providing privacy. Her decision to stick with a neutral palette came from a desire to create timeless designs that complement any style. "Window treatments aren’t meant to be the 'star of the show' in a home," Haley explains. "They are meant to complement or enhance the environment."
One of the standout rooms in Lauren's house is the dining area, which Haley describes as a masterclass in refined rusticity. Wainscoted walls painted in a refreshing green-gray neutral, exposed wood beams, and a natural wood table are complemented by chairs with leather backs and linen seats. Everhem's Pebble Sheers cover the nearly floor-length windows, adding to the room's serene atmosphere. Eclectic touches like a muted Persian rug and a bistro-style chandelier round out Lauren's unique take on authentic comfort.
Haley's top design tips for homeowners include making a space truly their own, prioritizing flow and functionality, and understanding how they use the space daily. "Try to get a sense of the flow and functionality of a space before committing to any major design decisions," Haley advises. For big-ticket items, she suggests going neutral and timeless without being boring. As for window treatments, Haley believes they should be a priority. "Putting initial thought, planning, and budget into drapery or shades is essential for your home, both from a functionality perspective and a cohesive design perspective."
Lauren's Nashville home is a shining example of how custom window treatments can transform a living space, adding warmth, character, and function. Everhem's curated assortment, designer expertise, and personalized approach have helped Lauren achieve a home that feels inviting and authentic while meeting the needs of her young family.

Everhem's assortment includes options for various light filtering levels and thermal insulation, making it easy for designers to choose window treatments that cater to the specific needs of each room.
3. Evaluating the Space
The size and layout of a room are important factors that influence the choice of window treatments. They may opt for full-length drapery to create an illusion of height in smaller rooms or choose Roman shades for a clean and structured look in contemporary spaces. Everhem's window treatments come in various styles, allowing designers to select the most suitable option for each room.
4. Selecting Textiles and Fabrics
Choosing the right textiles and fabrics is an art in itself. Designers take into account the texture, color, and pattern of the chosen fabrics to ensure they blend seamlessly with the overall design. The versatility of neutral drapery makes it easy to adapt your dining room decor for various occasions and seasons.
Bathrooms are often overlooked when it comes to window treatments, but they deserve attention too. Neutral drapery in a bathroom can create a spa-like retreat. Soft, light colors enhance the feeling of cleanliness and tranquility. Consider neutral sheers for privacy without sacrificing natural light. Whether your bedroom style is modern, rustic, or traditional, neutral drapery can effortlessly blend in and create a cozy haven.
Playrooms are spaces where creativity and imagination take center stage. Neutral drapery serves as a versatile canvas, allowing you to change the decor as your child grows. Soft, neutral colors create a cheerful and stimulating environment without overwhelming the senses. Neutral drapery also complements a wide range of playful decor items, from colorful toys to vibrant artwork.

These colors are not only calming but also gender-neutral, allowing you to decorate without constraints. Neutral drapery also adapts well to evolving nursery themes, making it a practical choice for parents.
In a home office, productivity and focus are crucial. Neutral drapery in calming tones fawn or birch creates a professional and organized atmosphere. These colors promote concentration while still allowing you to infuse personal touches into your workspace. Neutral drapery also pairs well with various desk styles and office decor, making it a harmonious choice for a productive work environment.
Kitchens are where creativity and culinary magic happen. Neutral drapery can make your kitchen feel bright and airy. These colors reflect natural light beautifully and create a clean, inviting atmosphere. One of the best tips we can share with you is how to properly train your Drapery to keep it looking beautiful.
Before we get started, it's important to know the different pleat types. Understanding what type of pleat you have will make training your Drapery as easy as tying your shoe!
STEP ONE: USE A LITTLE STEAM
The first step is completely optional, but your steamer will help you remove creases and wrinkles before you start the training process.
STEP TWO: GATHER THE PLEATS
Starting at the top of the drapery panel, use your hands to gather all the pleats neatly together. Make sure to fold the fabric (and lining, if applicable) forward in front of the pleats.
STEP THREE: ADD A BOW
Tie a ribbon or string loosely, approximately 1/4 to 1/3 of the way down from the top, to hold the panel’s folded pleats together.
STEP FOUR: FOLLOW THE PLEATS
Starting at the first ribbon tie, use your hands to follow the the panel’s folded pleats down to the bottom of the drapery. Make sure to continue to fold the fabric (and lining, if applicable) forward in front of the pleats. Then tie a second ribbon loosely, approximately 1/4 to 1/3 of the way up from the bottom, to hold the panel’s folded pleats together
STEP FIVE: LET IT SIT
After 48 hours (or up to a week, if time allows), remove the ribbons. Your drapery panels are now trained to follow the folded pleats properly when opening and closing!
We're sharing an Inside Look of a very special mobile home in Malibu where we worked with homeowner and designer, Jenna Parris, to Everhem this beautifully decorated California home.
Jenna defines her style as beachy, bright, natural and warm. Her home is technically a double-wide trailer with a beautiful expansive view of the ocean. Jenna knew that the design had to complement the view, with warm colors and soft fabrics. She ultimately wanted her home to feel like a warm, cozy beach house, but also wanted it to feel like it could be in the middle of the city.
Starting in the entryway, Jenna wanted to bring both warmth and privacy to the front door. We decided to use Unlined Woven Woods shades in Seashell. When you live in Malibu, the beach is your backyard and the ocean is your backdrop. Your window treatments should seamlessly integrate into your view. That's why we used Seashell!
For the Kitchen & Living Room, we added inside mount unlined Seashell Wovens that fit perfectly into the new windows of this renovated home. Mounting on the inside of the frame was possible because we had ample depth. This was ideal because it gave the space a clean and streamlined design connecting nicely to the interior architecture of the space.
In the Primary Bedroom we continued the choice of Seashell Woven Woods but in our privacy lining. This allows for the privacy you want in a bedroom but still lets in the sun's natural glow. Jenna and her husband loved the idea of the rising sun naturally filtering through their room, offering warm light as they wake up each morning.
For the kids, we opted for a fabric with blackout lining for their bedrooms. It was important for their younger children to have the room as dark as possible for a good night’s sleep. We used shade operation front which allows Jenna to easily open and close the window treatments from dawn to dusk.
"The natural light that comes in through the windows and doors, the different shades of wood throughout, the simplicity of the floorplan, the soft window treatments (thanks, Everhem!), the attention to detail in the bathrooms - ALL of this came together perfectly to allow my family to feel calm, peaceful and totally zen." - Jenna Parris
We loved working with Jenna to further enhance her beautiful home!

We're sharing an Inside Look of the this stunning Hem Sweet Hem where we worked with interior designer, Ashley Zohar, and home owner, also Ashley, to Everhem this beautifully decorated Spanish revival style house. Dream team, Ashley and Ashley, worked with Everhem to provide the finishing touch in every room - window treatments!
"When we first saw the house we knew the aesthetic was perfect for us. We called quickly on our good friend and amazing interior designer Ashley Zohar to help furnish the house and turn it into home in a short amount of time." - Ashley A, Home Owner
We suggested the use of Drapery in a neutral fabric combined with clean tailored pleats to give the family and living room a welcoming yet refined look. Using Drapery and Roman Shades in the living spaces also allows the light to filter through in a glowy and magical way.
"We also reached out to our other incredibly talented friend Hannah Shargal, founder of EEMA, for our daughter’s bedroom and playroom. Hannah immediately connected us with Haley and the Everhem team for all things window treatments to complete every room in our house. " - Ashley
Privacy Lined Roman Shades soften the space while providing a sense of privacy in the playroom while Black Out Lined Roman Shades allow for a beautiful way to create the desired darkness for a nursery or bedroom.
"It was such a pleasure getting to work with my close friends on this project. Furnishing the house was really enjoyable as Ash fully entrusted me with the design and shares similar taste." - Ashley Z, Interior Designer
We used Woven Woods exclusively in the kitchen to create a warm and natural space. The kitchen’s light wood custom cabinetry, concrete slab countertops and clean square backsplash pairs perfectly with our Khaki Woven Woods.
"We love working on a project where the connecting factor throughout the home is Everhem. Ashley, Ashley and Hannah all trusted us to be the finishing touch in nearly every room." Haley, Everhem Founder
"This dream team of chic, talented women turned out to be the perfect trio to work with. The three of them perfectly complimented the house’s natural light with neutral fabrics and warm tones. Most importantly, everyone was a delight to work with!" Ashley A, Home Owner
PRIVACY LINING
Privacy Lining allows natural, diffused light to pass through and gives any room a warm glow, even during the most intense daylight hours. From outside it appears opaque, providing ideal privacy for common areas, kids' play rooms and office spaces.
BLACKOUT LINING
Blackout Lining allows no light to pass through and creates virtual darkness any time of day. We recommend choosing it for bedrooms and nurseries and in home theaters it's a must! Consider layering blackout lined shades and blackout lined drapery in spaces that need total darkness.
LAYERING LININGS
For ultimate versatility in your space, combine a privacy lined shade and blackout lined drapery — allow as much or as little light in as you desire!
Where are you based? Do you offer virtual design services?
We are based in New York, we do not offer virtual design services.
Why Interior Design?
I love designing spaces for our clients, I feel like we get to create the movie set where they live their lives and create their memories, and that feels really special.
How would you define your design style?
Traditional with a contemporary twist.
Where or who do you draw inspiration from?
Everywhere! Nature, vintage design books that I collect, fashion, etc.
What is something you see your clients struggle with most when it comes to designing their homes?
Space planning and making sure everything feels cohesive.
How do you tackle Window Treatments and what are some tips that have helped you figure out the perfect Window Treatments for your projects?
We often layer an outside mounted woven roman with drapery panels on either side. The layering makes a space feel cozier, and it's great for extra light filtering in a bedroom if both the roman and the drapery panels are blackout. We like outside mounting and mounting at the top of the wall just under the crown molding to make the windows and ceilings feel taller.
What are your favorite colors/fabrics Everhem offers? What room in a home would you style them in and why?
We use Magnolia and Cloud frequently in all of the different fabric weights – they are such great whites, and are truly versatile in any room of the house. The woven woods are also a favorite!
What is something you’re looking forward to in the next year both personally and professionally?
Personally, I am excited to see my daughter grow and learn this year, and professionally I am so excited about all of the new projects we recently signed!
Where are you based? Do you offer virtual design services?
I'm newly based in Dallas and loving it! Yes I just did an entire Monkey & Tiger bathroom for one of my favorite clients in Maine and she just received her Everhem woven wood roman shade to tuck underneath the custom Valance we made with Krane Home fabric!

Why Interior Design?
I fell into getting my Masters of Interior Architecture via fine art and set design which is rare. I love the fine details of interiors and how each space is such an intimate artistic expression of the people that live in it.
How would you define your design style?
New traditional with lots of pattern on pattern and color for days. Wallpaper & draperies in every room!
Where or who do you draw inspiration from?
I'm a third generation Korean artist and I draw inspiration from ancient Korean art, ceramics, textiles, wood cuts, clothing, hair ornaments, inlaid boxes, books, everything. I could spend hours in the Korean art wing at LACMA.
What is something you see your clients struggle with most when it comes to designing their homes?
When I do interior design I do it for clients who are looking for the Krane Home works - my art, art prints, wallpaper, fabric. We also help homeowners with Krane Home x Everhem draperies & roman shades anywhere in the U.S. The hardest part is probably choosing between wallpaper options since we offer so many! Once that is chosen, the rest just flows. We recommend taping up samples and living with it for a few days.
How do you tackle Window Treatments and what are some tips that have helped you figure out the perfect Window Treatments for your projects?
The first thing would be deciding between draperies and roman shades. If it's a single window in a bedroom, roman shade. If there are french doors leading outside or a large wall of windows I tend to prefer draperies. Two of my tips are when in doubt outside mount, and for draperies the higher the rod, the closer to g-d!
What are your favorite colors/fabrics Everhem offers? What room in a home would you style them in and why?
I love the new nursery collection! The soft colors and stripes coordinate so well with my own fabric and wallpaper line. If I have a less adventurous yet pattern loving client, I would suggest doing a bold wallpaper, and then select softer Everhem fabrics for the romans or draperies.
What is something you’re looking forward to in the next year both personally and professionally?
I'm really looking forward to collaborating with incredible women for anything and everything, and also giving back by doing some amazing art and design related initiatives with charities in Dallas such as Children's Cancer Fund, North Texas Food Bank, and Dwell with Dignity.
